RETREAT FAQ

What is Authentic Relating? (from authrev.org) Authentic Relating (AR) is the practice of freely expressing your true experience in the company of others. Expressing in this way enables you to create connections in the world based on who you really are.

Authentic Relating practices create a safe, intentional space - rooted in play and supported by clear boundaries - to create meaningful and enjoyable connections to self and other. By learning Authentic Relating skills, you can drop your conditioned relational habits, and learn to relate with yourself and others from a deeper more authentic expression of your truth.

This allows us to be more human with one another, in ways that often fall by the wayside in today's social norms. The result is a life full of fulfilling and meaningful relationships.

What is Circling? (adapted from circlingeurope.org)Circling is a relational meditation practice that supports you in finding what is most true to you, communicating this powerfully and naturally, widening your perspectives and your ability to receive and stay open to others, and nurturing a sense of deep personal and collective trust that is both relieving and generative.
In the same way a microscope reveals a whole other level of reality, Circling can reveal a new way of being in relationship.

While it can have similar benefits to meditation, performance coaching, or therapy, the point of focus with Circling is what is happening in the present moment in our connections with each other.

There is no trying to get anywhere (although we include our longings and desires); we simply open more skilfully to what is here within us and between us.

With a wide variety of tools we effortlessly uncover blind spots, facilitate powerful trusting relationships, and often experience and open to the mystery at the heart of our being and connection.

Can I come for just part of the weekend?

We ask that all attendees try to arrive by 7pm at the latest on Friday. You are also welcome to come as early as 3 PM to settle in. We would like to close the container to new arrivals after that time, so that we have a chance to gel as a group.

It’s okay if you need to leave early. We just want to make sure we aren’t introducing new folks after the opening circle.

Tickets are not refundable, but they are resellable.
